Campfire Audio Cascade - Review

Campfire Audio Cascade specs: from 5 Hz to 33 kHz frequency response, 38 Ohms impedance, 100 dB sensitivity, 13.5 oz weight, 42 mm Beryllium PVD diaphragm dynamic driver.

The Campfire Audio is not a new brand for audiophiles and entertainment lovers in general. The huge success of its line of products has brought the brand to the current trend so far. Amongst the fantastic line of earbuds, you will want to check on its Cascade model. It is the first of Campfire Audio’s closed-back over-ear headphones. If you are a big fan of this brand, it can be a great experience to introduce yourself to this new buddy.

It features 42mm beryllium drivers and the great build quality that comes with the exploration and development. There’s a reason why this brand uses the closed-back design. The design itself comes with the plush lambskin ear pads, giving such great isolation. This specific design is purposely made by the brand to provide the users the ability to use it over home and commuting. Its portability will bring up the nice exploration of audio experience no matter where you go.

So, let’s take a look at the packaging of the unit first. The in-ears expanded for the Cascade. The signature box design comes so friendly that you will feel guilty about throwing it out for any reason. The hard case is marvelous. It comes with the full grain leather exterior and faux interior which prevents the unit from getting bumped or scratched. The inside case, there is an additional compartment where you can store your item there. Also, there is a cable and warranty plus instructional papers.

The design is sloping lines with smooth edges and finish. I am impressed with the accuracy of the metal construction of the unit. It is distinct and industrial. The Campfire Audio Cascade takes the elegant experience not only within its unit, but also its accessories. It uses the lambskin leather which compliments the aluminum or stainless steel details. I guess the great point of this unit is its ergonomic traits. The headphones have such fantastic design so that you can wear it both in your home and when you’re out there.

Wearing this buddy for hours didn’t make ears tired or exhausted. On the contrary, I can concentrate on my writing works while listening to my favorite tracks.

Campfire Audio Cascade - sound

It is hard for me to see the flaws in the audio quality. It has such a mature and solid build, proving the years of experience from Campfire Audio in making the best audiopieces for the market. The 42mm Beryllium PVD diaphragms provide an excellent sound for almost all people, including the audiophiles.

Isolation is ample. The noise-canceling feature in the Cascade really signifies the necessity of modern people. Either you want to use it at your home or for commuting, it is a worth unit to carry from and to your home and office. The isolation is superb. You will be able to increase your volume without being afraid to bother other people.

The earbuds provide natural tones and crisp sound no matter what genre I play. As usual, I hit it with both oldies and modern songs. The Campfire Audio Cascade was able to manage all of the demands effortlessly, wanting me to keep using it for a long time. Unlike other headphones in its class, I can wear this pair for a few hours without sweat, unless of course, if I commute by bike out there. The tuning is amazing. I rarely see this kind of tuning quality in other headphones in the market. The manufacturer managed to give the boost for every layer of the sound quality.

What I Like

- it is spacious and comfortable, it is a perfect choice for those who have larger head, or someone who’re looking for spaciously comfortable headset;
- the marvelous build quality;
- the vibrant scales which will give you satisfaction in exploring the features of the Cascade.

What I dislike

For some folks, the spacious shape of the headset might not be their thing.
