FiiO FA7 - Review
FA7 is another in-ear piece coming from one of the most prestigious brands in the market, FiiO. Looking at the design, the real audiophiles will quickly fall in love with it. But it is not only the outer appearance that we would highlight, but also the tuning and the sound production.

Insiders stated that FA7 was actually the evolution of the FH5. Those who have ever tried FH5 might notice a bad thing or two about the buddy. The FA7 responds to these rooms for improvements and has nailed it. FA7 has been slated as the best IEM from the brand so far (anyway, it can't reach the quality of FH7).

I have been following the FiiO for a while now. And what I can see from this brand is that the company would always look for perfection and polish. Therefore, it is not surprising that each new product has always been better than their predecessors. The well-received FH5, for instance, still has few rooms to improve. The brand answers these by making the better IEM experience through their FA7. The price and design between FA7 and FH5 are similar. However, Fiio FA7 has distinctive build, technologies, drivers, and sound quality.

FA7 has four Knowles balanced armatures which consists of 1 bass, 1 mid, and 2 trebles. The 3D-printed design of the IEM gives it such wonderful results from the audiophiles perspective. In fact, it is the first 3D printed monitor from the FiiO brand. So, you will get lucky if you are able to attain this in your grasp. The fancy 3D-printed universal monitor also comes with such great design so that ones could wear this with pride anywhere. Not to mention that it comes with such medical grade design and resins taken from a German provider.  It is to prevent allergic reactions when placing the IEM in your ear. Thanks to this feature, you can also wear this buddy for a long time without feeling discomfort.

The faceplate edges are fused with the transparent body, making it more distinct compared to the competitors. The build is great and the design is prevalent with the cable connectors as well. The moment you unbox the package, you will be glad that you’ve chosen FiiO for your audiophile buddy. The package also comes with the cleaning tool supply that you can use to maintain and care for your universal monitor.

FA7 comes with 2 main color schemes. There is transparent black housing with silver prismatic patterns. Then the other one is the transparent housing with bright red and deep blue curvy shapes. Depending on your personal taste, these color schemes won’t bore you long in the future.
The designer of this buddy explained that the color schemes were inspired by the water forms.
the socket holds the stock cable to prevent the unit from spinning around. I found that this design is very smart since it will keep the users going without any hassle or fuss.

The IEM comes with a hard case and soft pouch. Well, you choose what you are going to do with the IEM once you have unpacked the package. There are also 13 pairs of tips. The pairs are bi-flange, 3 pairs of SML size, vocal, as well as bass tuning.

If you are planning to take this buddy out there and conduct some outdoor activities, you could consider using the hard protection case to protect and keep it safe. There is also a cleaning stick which helps you to clean the earphones nozzle. Meanwhile, you can organize the cables with a cable binder, that provides you nice advantages.

FiiO FA7 - sound:

Speaking of the sound quality, two thumbs up! I have tried several genre songs and this buddy can cope with it effortlessly. It delivers such boosting bass, clean mid, as well as crisp trebles that are not ear piercing. On the contrary, you can easily hear your favorite songs without any hassle.

What I like

- its compactness makes it easier for me to maneuver and move around;
- the design is ergonomic, won’t make you tire when wearing it for a long time;
- the great set of accessory;
- fantastic crisp sound;
- advantageous isolation.

What I dislike

Sometimes it’s hard for me to differ the music complexity with this IEM. Also, I would like to have the sub-bass from FH5. And the price of FA7 is a little high...
